I want to go home.

At my daughter's 4th birthday party we had a treasure hunt, picnic and play on the park equipment then she got tired. I want to go home she wailed. Consequently she and dh abandoned the party and he took her home. Not even the cakes and candles could persuade her to stop crying and to stay. It was all just a bit too much.
I recall that wail was a fairly common one at the time, she just liked home I guess.
I made this lo using my CFK August 2011 and the specially selected sketch from Sketch Support.I also used free wrapping paper I had saved from daughter birthday gifts which i have saved for 5 years and carried over 12,000 miles when emigrating from the UK to Australia, glad to have done that one finally. I was also inspired to get this one done by the UKS weekly challenge to use black card stock scrap a celebration and use some thing free.
thanks for lookingand heres a link to A|li's blog which is next on the blog hop http://alits.blogspot.com/

  1. Aww how sad - good to document the story though (reminds me of the song "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" and get that wrapping paper finally onto a page - I'm amazed that you have kept it this long and taken it half way round the world!!!
Lovely page and great challenge combining J xx

  9. a really fun double spread with such a lot of cute happy colours - and I love the banner. I guess this a story that she will enjoy when she's older - missing the end of her own party!
