Red White and Blue (with a touch of Mustard)

This month the CFK challenge was different and at first I was horrified!

I didn't want to make a kit with
  • 10 sheets patterned paper
  • 8 sheets cardstock
  • 2 alphabet sets
  • 2 stamp sets
  • 4 journaling spots
  • 3 types of "choose your own" style embellishments (flowers, border strips, ribbon, anything you like)
  • 1 roll washi tape
  • 1 "old" embellishment
  • 1 messy item (paint, embossing, mists, etc)
  • 1 other item of your choice
because I only get chance to scrap once or twice a month it would mean I'd be using the kit up until Christmas and I'm not sure which year! but I still wanted to play along and I'd invited my friend Sue to play along this month too.
I had a bright idea, make the kit only using scraps, that would cut down the size of it to something more manageable for me to use up before I got fed up of it.
It being the 60th anniversary of the Queen I went for a Red White and Blue theme but found several embellees and left over letters in blue with mustard so threw them in too.
Then I cut everything in half to make a 2nd kit to swap with my scrappy friend.

Here's a photo of the kit . My old embellishment was a squashed bottle top. I had 2, the first one plain black and the other in yellow with a pink bikini and the words Bikini Babe which I thought was hideous. I was nice and gave my friend the plain black one in the kit for her!
